4/10 – Pidhirtsi Castle, the White Lady’s house, Ukraine
Ukraine isn’t only a rustic of incredibly beautiful landscapes, but also a rustic with ancient historys. So mysterious and even dangerous places for thousand years of existence. One such terrible and heartbreaking places is that the Pidhirtsi castle. An ancient castle within the Lviv region, within the small village of Pidhirtsi.
The most famous legend is that of the White Lady. This scary legend has it that the previous owner of the castle Vaclav Zhevussky, alive walled his lover within the wall of the dungeon. the rationale for such a terrible act was sickly jealousy of Wenceslas to his wife Mary.
Eaten by jealousy, he followed literally every step of his young, beautiful wife. it’s not surprising, because during the time of the wedding, he was 60 years and Mary was only 19. The husband, mad with jealousy, he decided that his wonderful and everyone desired spouse won’t be for anyone but him.
Her soul still walks among these walls. a few years ago, the White Lady of Pidhirtsi became the foremost famous ghost in Ukraine when the Ukrainian show “Battle of the extrasensory” visited her.
